sounds like you have too much bike for those roads ,
Ive been to taormina in Sicily ,
i rented a scooter and rode to massina , had a lemonade and took it back to the rental shop ,
the only place Ive been where they drive worse is srilanka and they believe in reincarnation ,
in some countries a car is the only option
