I had the power duals installed on my 2011 Ultra Classic right out of the crate. Love the look and performance, also determined to get ride of the cat. Done the stage1, kerker slip-ons,and the race tuner. Getting ready for the 103" kit this winter. Question is that the heat that comes off of the x-chamber is un-real. I can't even imagine how it would be if it still had a cat. Anyone else have this problem? Am I running to lean or is that just life and get used to it.
Thanks
I can't vouch for the 11's but I don't have heat issues with the duals on my 09. I would guess you are running lean if you haven't done anything with the fuel management.
I have not noticed any heat issues on my PDs. WAY less heat than when I had my CAT. What other mods have you done (A/C, Tuner, etc)? You may be running a little lean.
Not an issue with my 2010 Ultra Classic. The difference between this header and stock is striking when talking heat issues. Get your tuner to check the mixture. Best of luck.
easiest fix is to ditch the lower fairings. It is amazing how much heat they hold in. I never thought my ROadglide Ultra had a heat issue because I pulled the lowers off for the first 10 ro 12,000 miles. I put them back on a while back and could not believe it.
