Really I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say these gauges are accurate.
So I don't think your dealer can or will fix them. If they do, it may be a first.
The fuel countdown says "0?" Or does it say "lo?" Mine counts down from around 30ish to lo. That's when I know I have approximately one gl remaining. I think it's a good design. 30K miles and no complaints. That one gl remaining will save your a$$ one day. Would you prefer it took you down to one ounce remaining?
All I know is every time my 2010 FLHX gets to the 40 miles left and the light comes on it seems like for every mile you go the miles left of fuel goes down by 3 or 4 miles. Left home yesterday for work the light came on in my driveway I went 7 miles and the fuel gauge said I had 17 miles left. WTF
My speedo is right on up to 55 MPH according to my GPS over 55 it reads 3 to 4 MPH fast, low fuel light comes on with 1 gallon left distance to empty says 45
Well at least the "fuel countdown" is pessimistic and not showing you have 20 more miles when really you're out of gas.
The speedo is set so you think your bike is faster than it is. It's a marketing gimmick, kinda like putting cereal in a bigger box to make you think your getting more.
i don't really use the fuel gauge. i may look at it occasionally, but will use the odometer more to figure out if i need fuel or not. reset your trip meter every time you fill up, when you get around a certain point (i use 175) then you know you need to start looking for fuel.
unless your speedo says 'certified' on it, it can read up to 10% off. and (i think) by law it has to be reading faster than actual. it cannot read slower. on my 2002, the gauge was certified. on my 07, or 10, or the wife's 12, it is not. again, i don't really worry about it. if it reads 5 miles fast, and i cruise at 5 over the speed limit, then i'm not really in any danger of getting a speeding ticket.

My speedo says "certified" and it is always 2 mph fast, at all speeds.
