Yea! We all know that they'll be water cooled in a few years. So what's that got to do with the hot running bikes that we are riding now.
Maybe I'll call up LeNale, and ask them if they have thought about this.

Default Grounded or not

If the fan has two wires, one hot and one ground, reversing them should reverse the motor. If the fan has one wire, and uses the metal of the fan as a ground through the chassis, then you won't be able to reverse it. Since I don't know if the fan has one or two wires, I am just throwing this out there for someone to run with.

if i remember correctly the lenale fan uses a small box fan like in a computer...it seems to me you could just flip it over to blow the other direction...but even then it would not work nearly as well...and the fan may even overheat...

Reversing a parade fan will not work very well for the reasons folks have already mentioned. There is one guy here who believes he has made some profound discovery by wiring up his parade fan to run backwards. The perceived benefit of not blowing hot air toward the intake simply does not outweigh the intended benefit of blowing cool air onto the cylinders. Most people understand the benefit of a “cold air” intake, but reversing a parade fan on an air-cooled motor; what did this achieve, a negligible improvement in power performance at idle and low speed operation? A puller fan application requires a shroud to direct airflow in order to function, just like most automobiles, except a shrouded puller system on a Harley would be moving much hotter air, and would likely make for a very short life fan motor.
