fast idle
I started my 2011 Limited today and the idle would not go below 1400 rpm unless i rolled the throttle back as far as I could then it would idle at 1000 as is normal but once I released the throttle it would go back to the 1400 rpm. I called my dealer's service rep and he said to reset the throttle by turning the ignition from off to on several times and it would reset to factory specs. He said that evidently I rolled forward with the front brake on when I was turning the ignition off. I tried this but to no avail. Has anyone else had this sort of problem? I will take it to dealer tomorrow for them to "reset" it.

i had that problem if you shut your bike down before the rpm's drop the ecm will keep the idle where it was when you turned it off. turn the ignition on and off 10 times it will reset the idle and keep the switch on run. good luck it worked for me more then once

This does fix it, but you only need to do it 4 times. I've learned to wait till the idle slows down before switching it off
