Here's a prediction: The price of the 07's will start to creep down while the price of the used 06's, 05's, etc will creep up.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, yeah resale on the '06s is really going to climb. That and Harley is going to realize what a mistake the whole "twin cam" thing was and reintroduce the Evo.
If '06 and '07 Ultras go stop light to stop light the 06 wins. The torque curve on the 96 starts to drop while the 88 remains max for about 1500 more rpm. Friends of mine bought their bikes within days of each other. One guy bought a new '06 Classic; the other guy bought an '07 Ultra. They ride a lot together and both say the stock 88 Classic is faster.
I know what you mean. I had thought about trading my 05 ultra in on a new 07 ultra. I found this web site, joined in and began reading about the "problems" of the new 07. I just put a new rear tire on yesterday with 11,000 miles, new plugs. I have the stage 1 reflashing and breather kit. Hey, my black cherry is running great. Life is good.
Good luck and happy thanksgiving to all
I had the chance to get an 07, but from what I was first told about anything aftermarket especially with a revised engine and tranny, I went with my 06 and could not be happier. I saved close to $2500.00 on buying my 06.

At 51,000 miles my 02 probably wouldn't be worth much as a trade in. But I have it just like I want it, it is running sooooo sweet right now, tensioners are done, and the paint and chrome is like new. I am thinking I will just continue to enjoy it and if and when it needs major work, I will invest some more in it. And just ride the value out of it. At my age, and its age, I could probably keep it for as long as I can ride, then sell it for final expenses.[8D]
Just got home from the dealer, was looking to by a used 06 or maybe a new 07. I have a deal in the works to trade my hotrod for the 93 in my sig thats pretty well done. Toyed with the possibilty, I'll stay with the 93! The engine is a new crate HD with 560 miles and everything else bearings, brakes, tranny, forks, tires, paint has been rebuilt or replaced.
I bought a 2007 S\E Ultra and sold it after only 550 miles due to a tremendous amount of problems and the worst customer service from HD factory. After 16 HDs they were not interested in helping me at all. I since bought another 2005 S\E E\G and love it.
Save your money and stress. However, there are a lot of riders happy with their 2007s so maybe I was just unlucky but there does seem to be a lot of negative feedback on the 2007s.
