Default Good Tuner

Looking to put on a SE A/C, V&H Power Duals and Monster rounds, and SEPRT on my 2012 FLHTK. Need to find a good tuner in my area (London Ontario). Any suggestions?

Although I've never been there; Rocky's Harley Davidson: right in London, Ontario is supposed to be good. Not sure if Dino Guadino is still doin it. Other than that there is a place in Burlington called "Dynotunes.ca". The owner and tuner is Bruce. Very good with the Power Commander, but I'm not sure with the SE Super Tuner. Good Luck...hope this helps.

you may wanna look at the Ness Big Sucker than the screaming eagle.

it's less expensive, tidier install, and a washable oiled filter ( like a K&N) rather than a paper one use filter

check ebay- easternpc $115 USD for the chrome version which complements your motor and is a nice wipe off on wash day

if your bike is lowered the X pipe on the header can hit hard on right turns, i scared myself riding my Pal's 2011 Limited on my street, riding it like I do my bike.

his has the monster ovals, If I ride behind him i stay back 30 meters or so
the screaming eagle from the dealer was grey matte--- so we swapped that for the Ness.
and he has the SE tuner which seems to work well.
we've ridden together thousands of miles, he's happy with it.
MPG right at 43 cruising 65~70 on 2 lanes....conversion um- I forget... 70 kms per 4 liters, cruising 110 KPH.--?

tuning? Donny Peterson is at Heavy Duty on Kingston Rd. right at the TO/ Scarborough line- I'd give them a call may be worth the ride or they can suggest someone local. peterson has a pretty well balanced view of what a motor should do.

Thanks for the info. joe98, Rocky's gets mixed reviews around here so I thought I'd see if anyone knew of any others close by. I'll talk to Dynotunes and see where that goes. mkguitar, bikes not lowered and I realize the low clearance of the power duals, hope it's gonna work out. Going to check out the ness a/c you mentioned as it's a lot cheaper than the SE. Thanks again to both of you.

A good tuner??? Good luck! They'll tell ya what you want to hear.. Their not going to spend the time it really needs or should have for it to be right. I'm just saying.... This is coming from someone who has spent over $800.00 on two different Tuners who say they know what their doing, and they don't. My results? I still have **** for a tune!

I just pulled up a canned tune for my 08 and it runs great. I used the first one on the list for my configuration. They listed three for my bike, but one was obviously a mistake from the seprt program. I still plan to tune it with smart tune and after a couple of runs I think I may look at the AFR's and lower all the ratios after 3500 rpm. But compared to the way it ran stock, it is like a different bike.

Contact fuel moto, they will get you setup right, I got my setup including the header for what the local dealers wanted for just the SE tuner and dyne time/labor.

Frees up cash for other stuff.

Just my $0.02

I had the same issue, trying to find a good tuner. I too live in SW Ontario and decided to stop looking. Too many variables, horror stories and the prices they want are out of control.

I decided to spend my hard earned dough on a Revolution Performance EMS system. Customer service was top notch and the bikes runs perfectly. No $800 dyno bills and its super easy to install. Not to mention its easily adaptable to future mods.

I installed it all myself and saved the labour on that too. No point in getting the dealers rich.

You dont need a tuner at stage 1, for crying out loud. A canned map will be fine.

I remember these things we called carburettors. We used to change exhausts, chuck in a different jet and off we go. Cost about $2.25 to tune.

Now we have all this technology and we really seem to think that we need an $800 tune when we put pipes on. its a joke.
