2009 Electra Glide Classic. Installed the quick release tourpak this spring and had never put the tourpak back on until Saturday.
How does the antennae connect back up on the tourpak? I thought you unscrewed the antennae, install the tourpak, install the antennae, and connect the antennae cable from the tourpak to the fender mount with the adapter. My adapter does not fit the fender mount, and the cables do not attach to each other.
I went to my dealer and inquired at the parts counter if I needed a different adapter (had it with me) and they couldn't tell me how it connects. Even asked the service manager and he couldn't answer me, said I had to bring the bike in to show what was on the bike. I had the install instructions with me and showed them in the diagram what parts I had.
Yeah, its on my list of to do's, when I can decide on the best one to get.
Mental,
FYI,
Instead of spending big money on the HD one or any others. You can go to Advance Auto and get one of the inside fairing ones for about $10 or $20 LESS. It's the exact same one. I picked up one for my buddies Street Glide and he has had no complaints at all.
My SG had the det. tour pak when I bought it and the p.o. never removed it so it had the antenna on the tour pak. I prefer to ride w/o the tour pak unless the wife is with me. It was much cheaper to buy the one for inside the fairing than it was to buy a relocation kit to move the antenna.
I have the same setup... put my TP back on this weekend. The adapter supplied fit no prob's. Big end covers the fender mount, then screw TP cable to the small end on top...
I know during installation I had to adjust the height of the fender mount a couple times for it to fit properly.

Thats what I thought it should do, but the big end of the adapter is way to big and slips easily over post. My dealer couldn't even tell me if there was another adapter and maybe I got the wrong one
