Default RG tourpac install

Question,
I have the 07 RG and also ordered the ultra tourpac for it.
When the pac comes in how hard of a job is the install?
I have no prob with the attaching it, I was just wondering about the
electrical part. Is there a quick disconnect for the lights or will
I be splicing in some wires? I am not installing speakers at present.
I ordered the permanent mount rack not the detachable one.
I figure once it's on I'll never take it off.
Can anyone answer my questions.
Thanks,
Tom

Tom,

The tour-pak job is not too bad. You just need to make sure you have all the parts before starting. For example, the lock and the hook mechanism have to be ordered separately. Keying your lock to your bike key can take from a few days to a few weeks. Depends on which dealer does it.

Installation wise, you have a couple of connections. The first is your stock radio antenna cable. You'll need to remove it from the current bracket and route it through the hole in the tour-pak. The second one is your tail/brake lamp connection. This is usually under the seat on the left side. You'll have to cut the tie wrap and route it to the tour-pak. Route all wires underneath the tour-pak liner. Test all connections before putting the liner back.

Once the tour-pak is on, load it up and go for a ride. You'll want to get used to the weight and the way your bike handles, before taking on a passenger.

You will have to buy the antenna cable extension kit. It's a simple install, but you will need it. It's gonna be about a Hundred-Dollars

Thanks, That's helps a bunch.
I stopped into the dealer yesterday and he says, here are your spare keys...
I said I didn't order any extra keys.
I pulled out my receipt and they made a mistake. They ordered keys
and I needed the lock ordered to match my exsisting keys. They said my tourpac
would not be in till some time in Nov.
