Recently bought a 2012 Limited. It now has about 1200 miles. It's completely stock. now that it's gotten colder, it seems to cough every so offen untill it warms up. before I take it back to the dealer, I wanted to know if anyone else out there was having the same problem, and if so what did you or the dealer do to correct this. I don't want to add anything to the bike, Like a DFO or Turner. Can the dealer do anyting to get rid of this condition ?
Thanks In advance Jonnierock
i have a 2011 limited and these things are lean as hell out of the box cuz of the epa. ur gonna have to add a tuner to get rid of this condition or have the dealer flash a richer map into the pcm. i added a pcv to mine and what a world of difference.
I've also got a '12 Limited Before I had Fuel Moto do a bunch of work I had 2800 miles on it while it was bone stock. Drove it from Phoenix (110deg) to Chicago (60s) and it never had any hiccups. I'd have the dealer look at it sounds like something isn't right. Good luck man.
it's under warranty take it in... if they say: "they all do that"--- correct them and say no they don't.
it's kinda up to them to have it smooth running before the owner starts changing stuff.
especially since and misses or skipping increases emissions--- which could end up a problem for you should you move to an area that does tailpipe tests ( such as PHX/ Tucson)
