Couldn't take it another minute. Looked outside about 11ish this morning, not a cloud in the sky. Slight breeze and about 50ish. The girls decided to stay with mom for the holiday. I decided it was just me and the Bagger today. Was a truly beautiful fall day here in western Pa. Made a 4 hour,160 mile circle. Was suprised to see all the scoots I did. Apparently I wasn't the only one taking advantage of the weather. Made it home............no runs,no drips, no errors. Feeling like a little snooze now. Saved myself from that 2500 calorie meal and feel much better for it. It's my hope that lots of my fellow riders will be able to get out and about this holiday weekend......if only for a short time. Ride easy............ride safe.
Here in North Georgia it was a no cloud in the sky, warm, winter day about 64. And for the next couple of days heading above 70. Rode north to the farm for a t-day feast at Mom and Dad's, and with all the family and friends. It was a little cool on the way home around 10p.m., dressed for the weather.
got close to 200 miles in yesterday, it was about 50 and not a cloud in the sky away from the lake. very relaxing. got back just in time to strap on the feedbag.
All good things do indeed come to an end. After a wonderful ride yesterday (Turkey Day), I spent today putting the Ultra away for the winter. I'll admit to muttering and even some cussin as the scooters rolled past. Was another beautiful day in western Pa. After the wash and dry.........the Stabil in the fuel tank and the "Daliel-san" aka wax on..........wax off, the black bitch is now under cover and hooked to the tender for the winter. It's not quite as harsh as say...............putting down a pet. Still worse in some respects. Now I'll simply bitch and moan whilst waiting for the salt and gravel to be washed off the roads come April. (Heavy sigh) such is the life of a northern Yankee sled driver.
