Whats up fellas. Sold the deluxe this morning, going to check out a Road Glide in the morning. At first, I liked the SG fairing, but the more I look at "Custom" Road glides, I like the space ship fairing. Of course Im goin to Trick it out too, Extended bags, 26 inch wheel, etc. Just wonder how the 23's and 26's ride on longer trips. There is a guy on here "SLOTHY" who has a custom SG with a 26 and he said he put 1000 miles on his in one weekend with pics to prove it and said it rode like a DREAM. Just wanna get yalls take on it. I cant help but go the extra mile when modding a bike. My deluxe stood out, and if I get a RG, its gonna stand out too. Just how I am. Any thoughts and or Pics would be Great guys.
Ya gotta make your scooter your scooter. Set it up so it's comfortable to you and satisfies what you want it to look like. Power is always a must with a RG. The stock configuration gets old after a short while because you know you can ride it harder and ya need the ponies to do so. A 103 with a big cam, lower end with bullet proof bearings, oil pump etc. Lowering kit, fat tire, performance shocks, Hogtunes, chopped windshield. Yeah, ya got a ways to go before it starts looking unique.

I ride a 23" Streetglide pretty frequently and I love the ride and wouldn't hesitate to tour with it. I have limited experience on a 26" but the only one I rode was a little harsh compared to the 23" ride. Also we have had a lot of issues with 26" Vee Rubber tires leaking so if you plan to ride a lot keep that in mind. IMHO the 23" looks more proportional to the bike than the 26".
Damn Hogpro, that road glide with the 26, is NASTY. Gonna do some ride with it though.
SO is Vee Rubber the only comp that makes a 26 inch tire? Ive had some issues with Vee in the past. Dont know, may run with a 23, and still keep the "RIDE"
Vee Rubber is the only one making 26" and 30". I wish Avon or Metzler would step up to the plate with 26" tires because I trust their quality more. I honestly would stick with a 23" if having a more reliable wheel/tire is important. If it is more of a show bike than rock the 26".
