Had Sundowner it was "ok" but absolutely nothing like the right Mustang seat for long trips. I ended-up with this Super Tourer (without studs) and would never go back http://www.mustangseats.com/Product.aspx?ID=1499.
Bugs, I have a 2011 SG with stock seat you will be wanting to get off about every 50 miles!
Sundowner me and the old lady can go all day the difference is night and day very comfortable. I dont really like the way it looks on the bike takes away fom the low sleak look of the stock seat. But I'll take the confort over looks any day.
I know the 2011 and newer Street glide seats sit lower than the stock 2010 and older bikes do. On my 2010 the sundowner sits me lower and a little closer to the tank. Like said before If I go two up or for more than a 3-4 hour ride I put the sundowner on. The wife will not ride with out it on! It is fairly quick and easy to change seats so my stock seat stays on most of the time. For the price it's a good seat and we have not needed to try to upgrade to anything better.
I have the Sundowner deep bucket seat on my 11 street glide. I love it, the wife loves it. Sits me down about an inch I would say and a happy wife on the back makes for less bitching.
I just did 1500 miles in 3 days on one, LOVE IT! Comfort to spare. It did move me higher about 1 inch maybe. But I also think it will break in after another couple thousand. Wife loves the extra wide seat even though she doesn't have an extra wide seat.
