I am 6' 6" and am now about 320, down 60 pounds in the last four months. I also have fairly short legs (32 inch inseam) and ride a modified tallboy seat. I took the stock tall boy and had a local upholstery shop work on the foam some more which basically moved me back another inch and down another 3/4 inch. Really like how the seat fits now, very comfortable. As to the sore butt thing, spend more time in the saddle and the butt will toughen up.

I'm 6'4", 275, 34" inseam. I like to sit in a bike, not on it, so I didn't want to go with the Tall Boy seat. Here's my setup:

2010 Street Glide CVO seat (sits you back a bit)
Kuryakyn floorboard relocators (forward and out an inch in each direction)
Wild Ones 575 handlebars

I'd like to have another inch of rise in the bars, but all in all this is a very comfortable setup for me. I plan to get a rider backrest in the spring, but otherwise I'm good.

I am just 215 and 5' 10" and I feel like I sometimes sit too far forward. I bought a Mustang Super Touring seat and it set me back an inch or so and that helped. I also went to a slightly higher more swept back handlebar. I can just imagine how uncomfortable some of you big guys must be. Don't lose hope...I think you will eventually come upon the combination of seat, handle bars, and foot rest position that will do it for you.

I'm 6'5" with a 33" inseam. Changed a few things on my 2009 SG, now it's pretty damn comfortable. Current setup:

-C&C squareback seat (customized) puts me down 1" and back 2-3". Definitely feel like I sit more "in" the bike now - knees are not straddling tank anymore, and less wind buffeting.
-Heli horizon bars - adjustable, needed extra rise and pullback to get hands out of my lap, and get rid of shoulder pain from reaching forward after moving the seat back.
-Harley goodies floorboard extensions (moves them 1" out) - also helps to get knees off the tank, and allows me to get my size 14 EEEE boots on the boards.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Im 6'2" 290# I like to sit back on the bike a little. I run the Mustang solo with NO back rest. The back rest on the seat moves you forward to far IMHO. The seat with the back rest slot makes the seat shorter in length.

On my 07 FLHT STD I went with the Tall Boy Seat. It helped but was way to hard. I don't know why they didn't use the same foam as stock seat. I took it off . Way to hard. Maybe they have changed the padding . Check it out berfore you put out the $$$$$ I solved the problem by trading it in on a 2011 FLTRX 103. No probems!!!!! Good luck

Probably the only seat that will make you comfortable is the Russel Day Long. They modify yours to fit you and use springs and padding. For people that weigh over 225lbs there is really no other seat that will work.

??? I have a C&C Sport Tour & their solo, both with backrests, and at 6'2"/320# 500 mile days are no problem.

You need a good Corbin seat and some highway pegs if you don't have them already.
