Cool 2000 Ultra Classic Help - Idle

Reaching out for help, recently picked up a 2000 Ultra with 67k on it. Rode it 400 miles and ran like a top but idled low. Took it to a local independent shop to adjust hot idle. They tested fuel pressure,good, tested intake for leaks,no leaks, then adjusted hot idle screw to 1050 RPM from 750. Bike ran great coming home. Start bike next morning, bike went to 1200 rpm and starting popping back through air cleaner, idle ramps up and down from 900 to 1300 rpm. Once warmed up, popping stops and idle sits at 1050. When hot idle adjustment was done the ECM 5 amp fuse was not pulled. Bit out of touch on EFI, last bikes were all carb.



Looking for guidance to get a smooth idle.

Is it stock or does it have a tunner like a PC5 ? The throttle position might not be set right. either way, take it back. Idle should be set at 900 rpms.

Bike has K&N filter, slightly less restrictive mufflers and does not have an add on module/tuner. Unsure whether the bike was ever mapped, previous owner passed away. Agree on the take it back but like to work on the bike myself as much as I can. Good to have a forum like this to share know how!

OK, warmed bike up then set hot idle at 950/1000, then pulled air temp sense and cold idle ramped up to 1400. Shut bike off, pulled 5 & 15 amp fuses on ECM side. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Started bike up, after initial warm up idle sat at 950/1000 but getting a pop back through air cleaner and when it pops idle drops to 600/500 then picks back up to 950/1000.

Any suggestions or ideas....thanks
