Traded my 07 1200 roadster ( short shots , a/c maxed and hyper tech progam) for a a new 2011 flhx . I love the sporty , she was one fast s.o.b. . I should have kept it and just picked up the new bike. all said and done I'm glade I made the purchase of the flhx, sweet ride and everyone has to come up and look at the marlot sunglow color ( like 3 diff colors in one, black , brown, maroon , depending on nite , day, sundown , ect - even has green metal flake ) lowered 1" with rinehart slipons. you can't get a better looking bike, the power of the 103 is sweet !!!!!
Well guys the bug finally bit!!! I picked up my new 2012 Street Glide Wednesday. I cannot believe how well this bike rides, corners and the power!! I am so happy with this bike!!
Of course I already have plans for it but I am gonna keep them kinda mild. Here are a few things I am thinking.
Stage 1 Air Cleaner
Fuel Moto 2-1-2 Headpipe
4" Fuel Moto Exhaust
Power Commander V
Short Antenna
Headlight Nacelle
I also want a different seat. The stock seat is nice but I would like something that will sit me down in the bike a little more. I've kinda been looking at a Harley Sidekick or something like that.
Is there a thread that shows pics of different seat on the Street Glide? I'm wanting something a little more low profile to get me lower in the bike. I've been looking at the Harley Side Kick seat. I would like to see some pics of seats on the bikes though. Thanks
I had a 2008 Pearl Gold White SG and loved it! I put 33K miles on her and loved every single mile I put on her, however there was something missing. I had done some minimal mods on her. I went to the dealership and they just blew my socks off on a 2012....I do not regret making the plunge on the '12. The 103 is just what the doctor ordered! I doubt they would upgrade to the 110 just yet. I think the next time, which will probably be in 5 or 6 years, they upgrade to the 110's will be the next time this new Vivid Black will be turned in! Man the ride is so so so much better than the 08, I can only imagine what they do, but Just do it and get out and make the plunge. Obviously, the dealership will not give you what you think your bike is worth, but you don't pay taxes on that amount financed. I guess I have gotten a little long winded, but the moral to the story is JUS DO IT! Good Luck

Not sure if there's a thread about seats on the SG's but here's a pic of mine. Its a C&C.
