Sounds like this guy was one that believed in the saying' "better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission" and it backfired. As to the price, scrap with the dealer and see just how low he will go. then you deceide if the new is worth the difference that the two are apart.

I see no reason to go to a dealer at all. This is a brand new bike with a hell of a price. And, you still get the full warranty and can even add to it.
Unless it's just a butt ugly color that you can't stand, buy it!

VERY STRANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! guy didn't ask his wifes permission but you are asking a bunch of guys opinions to buy it. 
personally I really don't care.......but honey if it makes you happy and you think its a good deal you should buy it.
