Question gauges acting funny

Just washed bike. Now the odometer says diag when you turn switch on.
The speedo & tach peg out and back & all indicator lights light up for a
split second.Think I got something wet? Never had her do this before.

Yes. Coincidentally, when you pull the codes off the bike through the speedo you have to hold in the odo reset button as you turn on the ignition and the gauges will do the same exact thing when you do this. I'm betting your odo reset button is wet or on its way out because it is acting like it is being held in when you are turning the bike on

Be careful squirting water on your bikes parts from the tops of the fenders up. Water is NOT your bikes friend in the faring area. There are plenty of cleaning options that do not involve water at all that are much superior. Sure, if the wheels and fenders are a mess, go ahead with soap and water to get the grit off. However, rethink the need for water in the area above the fenders. There are too many instances shared on this forum just like yours that are most likely a direct result of spraying water in areas at pressures and angles that can cause instant or near-future damage, issues, and error codes.

If it hasn't gotten back to normal after drying out check your battery connections. If they are even a little loose this can occur.
