Default Quick Detach Mounting kit and the antenna mount question

Did a search but nothing answered my question.

Got an 08 Electra Glide Classic used and the tour pack was removed from bike when I got it. It came with the rigid mount so I bought the neccesary kits to make it Q-D.

My question is on the right side of the bike the antennna is relocated in two holes on the strut behind the bag. The top of these two holes is needed for the rear mounting point (botom of the hoop)

Well the antenna does not clear the mount what have you guys done to make this work, is there another kit for the antenna I need. By the way the antenna will not be going back on the tour pack, I want the T-P to be a true quick detach.

Thanks,

Did you get 76326-00A antenna relocation kit? Sounds like you may have accidentally gotten 76208-07 antenna relocation kit

The other option is to put an antenna inside the fairing.

The 76208-07 looks exactly like what is on the bike, no good with the Q-D mounts. Looks like I need to run to the dealer tomorrow and figure out which mount will work...thanks for the help.

I used a similar setup for my Ultra. I just used a spacer to push the mounting bracket out some to clear the rails. Do a search under mu info. There should b a thread where I posted pics of what i did. If you want to leave the antenna on all the time you would probably need the lower mount.

Update~ went to my local fastener store and bought some longer chrome bolts and chrome nuts to try as spacers. Did the job of bumping out the antenna mount perfect BUT the angle of the antenna is directly inline with the rear mount, I mean dead on ***** perfect inline. Looks like I will be going to buy that 76326-00A mount tomorrow. Thanks for the help all. Dawg you sure do know your Harley parts, been reading your advise all over this site, very impressive.

I just moved mine up using the bottom hole in the bracket and moved it so it is just about straight up and down. Just the slightest of angle back. Works great!
