Thanks Harded; Being that my wife and inlaws are all from Canton, OH I want Timken Bearings. If nobody comes up with the part # I'll post it when I cross my OEM ones over.

Good Luck, If you come up with a timken cross over for the one inch bearings, please do post. Bearing houses here could not do it.
Timkin bought Torrington (see this thread Harderd) 8 years ago. Torrington is ball bearings.
According to Ronnies HD microfiche the 07 Ultras (and a bunch of others) started using the 25 mm bearing. From what I can put together this is a single row sealed ball bearing. Too many models to check them all and microfiches have been wrong before a few times.
Somewhere aroung 2000 they went from the tapered roller bearing that my 1979 shovel head has to a two row sealed ball bearing.
Personally I think the double row ball bearing would be the ****. The tapered roller was way over engineered and you had to pack it. I could be way off on that opinion because I haven't heard much about problems with them. That might be a good thing.
I believe most of these ball bearing changes were due to anti dumping laws but Harderd probably knows more about that.
I guess the only way to find out for sure is pull my wheel and the bearing and look at it.
BrianG your link is for tapered bearings. And I don't have the exact HD dimensions until I pull my wheel and bearing.
I had to settle for std. HD parts. Now that I have the OEM bearings out I'm going to send them to my sons Father inlaw. He works at Timken in Canton we'll see if there is a real Timken part # . If I do get one I'll post it on the board.

Just curious - how much did the stealer hit ya up for each bearing? X Iron Butt is
looking in the $6 - $8 dollar range for quality bearings. When he finds them I hope
he lets all of us know.
