05 Classic, slip-ons, decel pop, ?'s

05 Classic, slip-ons, decel pop, ?'s
I got my bro in law some slip ons.
Non baffled, just basically
1.75" drag pipes for his 05 Electra Glide Classic.
Why? He went from a fat boy to a touring, cause his wife wanted to ride more... She rides none...
He's not getting another bike, so I declassic'ed his bike....
Uncomfy seat, detachable Pak, no bumpers, took off his trailer hitch... He loves his bike again!!!
The engine, air cleaner, 100% stock! No mods, no hi flow....
The pipes are now popping a little more than I thought..
Why? What would cause this?
Baffles aren't really an option, he like the sound... Mostly... They are fishtails, so I could pull them and put a lolli pop towards the front or in the head pipe...
But I'm not sure why it's popping now, it wasn't before with the stick tapered mufflers??

I would think he would like the added performance of having some backpressure. An un-baffled bike sounds fast but usually will be left in the dust by a baffled one. Tell him it sounds like a Yamaha trying to sound like a harley and he'll let you but some in.
