I'm agreeing and I'm good with that.

I suspect those that install synthetic oil at the factory perform some form of engine break-in procedure after assembly. I always use a good fossil oil in my new engines for about 2000 miles (Castrol GTX 20w50 for Harleys), changed at 500 and again at 1000, then after 2000 miles I change to synthetic. The next oil change is at 5000 and every 5000 thereafter.

I will change the oil of my CVO before I break it in. (if I ever get one)
Hadn't thought about it, as a new CVO is clearly not in my future plans for various reasons, but if it were I would probably do as you suggest.

I can second that story....I've always broke my bikes in like I"m gonna drive em....never had a problem at all---U don't have to smash the rev limiter every time you take off....but drive it like you're going to!
