You're going to need an amp. I'm not sure what the power is on the boom system but a buddy of mine with an Ultra has the boom system. Amp, fairing, lowers, tourpack. It sounds good and he is happy.
I was pretty happy with my arc/infinity setup for about the last 18 months. The sound was very good on the highway. I finally blew one of the infinitys after running them for 12 hours at pretty high volume on my last trip. I think I'm going with Polk MM 6501s this time.
I was Eastside Harley a few months back and heard one of their systems. They actually put a sub in one saddlebag. It was in a sealed box, but they also cut out a hole in the bottom of the bag. So actually they were using the bag as an enclosure. Sounded awesome. Lots of bass. I am leaning towards doing this but don't have the ***** yet to cut out a hole in my saddlebag..lol. They were also running focal speakers in the fairing and with lowers. Bike sounded great. Much better than my 6 pack system.
