Sorry I haven't responded, I've been sick as hell with some kind of flu. Not sure whats up with Paypal, they are supposed to send out an automatic response. I am all out of black and grey housings now, I have to weld them, send the out for paint and then assemble them, so it will be about 3 weeks before I can ship the black or grey.
Can someone help me that has installed the thermal , switch , I emailed Jason but I'd like to get it back together , once I installed the thermal switch the manual switch no longer works , is this correct ???? Reading the install sheet it says it will still work , what am I missing ??? THANKS
The Thermal switch should be installed in either the negative or positive power leads to the Fan. My preference is for the positive lead but technically it would work in either.
The manual switch will ONLY turn the fans off and on if the Thermal Switch has been "closed" due to the engine temperature.
In other words, the Thermal Switch ans the Manual switch are in series.

Just replied to your email, sorry I was in the shop. Your set up does sound correct. I will re-engage the install documentation for revision, it sounds as if the writing needs massaged a little to avoid confusion. When the thermal switch is used, it becomes the primary control, but the built in toggle will still allow a manual overide "off". The system is not a selectable 3 position Auto-Off-Manual, that would req 2 pole, 3 throw switch that wolud not fit in the housing and the multifunction is nonessential, the individual just has to choose Auto or manual. The thermal switch will provide the best performance; you don't have to manually monitor and control the fans, they come on and stay on when needed, go off when not needed, and you can't accidentally leave the system "on". I'll be in and out the weld booth today but I'll monitor messages in case you need further assistance.
