The fuel line is as simple as an air hose, the tanks is off with 4 bolts and a couple of hoses and an allen screw for the dash. Remove fuel cap to lift dash then put it back. One electrical plug and a overflow hose under dash and gently lift off. Helps if it's near empty. It becomes so easy you will remove to clean your heads. Mine's been off several times. Firsts time take your time. Lift off seat to find rear tank bolts. Find front bolts under black rubber triangular shaped caps in front of tank by frame.The dash requires that you remove an allen screw in front and a small bolt at the rear of the dash. Pay close attention to the placement of everything before removing. Have a suitable place ready to put the tank. Note the fuel line in the picture that includes Jason's FCS, a push/pull kind of release. Good Luck

Wiring harness should have a plastic guide that houses wires on the frame back-bone the tank sits on. I just tucked mine in there. Removing the tank is no big deal. Just be sure you have something soft to sit it on. Also, when removing the fuel crossover tube in the front, have nipples ready to slip over the hard lines so u don't spill fuel everywhere. Ideal situation, remove the tank when close to empty. Mine is an 06 and has a quick release push up and pop fuel line release. Good luck.

Actually the later models don't even have a crossover. It just unplugs like an air hose and seals so nothing comes out.

Ha .... My bike is stored with a full tank/Seafoam. Was thinking of installing the fans but think I'll just wait a few months

Hey guys, over this past summer i've went ahead an added a oil cooler, because i thought these twin cams do run hot. I work in a very congested area and encounter a good amount of traffic on my way home, (an hour drive without traffic) so it takes me about an hour and a half to get home in rush hour. So i wanted to deal with the heat issue by adding the oil cooler first. cools the oil but not the heads.. So i have been researching products like these fans.. My question is though, is there really good research on how much hotter the heads are on these twin cams compared to earlier motors such as the evo's? .. air cooled motors are air cooled motors right lol?... Not trying to take away from this product at all, as im sure it works great and certainly looks like a really well made product....i understand that it certainly would only help with the heat issue but is there really research how much hotter these twin cams are to earlier motors?..

If there is just point me in the right direction ..

This system was built for Twin Cams specifically, because they are hotter. Predecessor motors had less displacement, less compression, less idle RPM, and they were less lean, these things all add up to less heat, but I don't have a comparative value for you. I can tell you that I put the FCS on my brother's EVO RK and it actually cycled on and off every few minutes while sitting and idling which indicates it runs cooler, because on a TC, once it comes on it stays on, but again no values. Very few people monitor CHTs, most predecessor motors had oil temps around 180, while not imperical it is indicative of the ET, most TCs have oil temps in the 240F+ range. If you find that research dataset you are looking for please post it.

I'm one of the few that measure CHT. I can tell you that in the summer when running on the highway I'm at 270-280. When I'm in congested traffic after getting off the highway my CHT drops to 260 with the CFS running. In the cold temps we have now my CHT is 240 with CFS running. The fans automatically come on and do not cycle off when riding. This is with an oil cooler and a lower thermostat installed. To me it's a no brainer, I needed the fans all along.

I'm quite positive I'm the first and only(so far...) to have the FCS in my possession in Nippon. I have not installed them yet as they just arrived today.
I just wanted to give a public forum shout out as to the build quality appearance. Really great work! I'm very impressed with what I see and hoping to get it on the bike in the next couple of days. The product looks great! I ordered the chrome with stainless steel screen and the thermo switch.
I'll post up some pics later on today, if I have time to install this evening.

You are right about the build quality but the best is yet to come. Wait until you're stuck in traffic and the engine temp actually goes down instead of up. I LOVE THIS SYSTEM!
