I have the "original" fans on my SG... not a problem lol Ran up to Temple and back to Georgetown... hit stop n go traffic and I can say without a doubt... The fans work! Stopped at Horny Toad HD and several people asked about the fans and where I got the system. Going to have to carry a notebook and keep writing your website down Jason!

Since I announced the "new" fans, I have received several requests to exchange the systems I just shipped for the upcoming improved model. I cannot take back all the systems I just sold to exchange for the "new" fans. My warranty and guarantee is for the system as I sold it at that time, in its original and advertised state, if your only issue with the system is that you want the "new" fans because they are “better”, that doesn't qualify as grounds for a return. I apologize that I made an improvement after you purchased your system. As I've said before I want my customers happy so here is what I can do; at a less critical later time, when things slow down a little for me such as this coming winter, I can provide a fan exchange service for those who want to “upgrade”, I can do this at a very reasonable cost, but I just can't exchange all the fans for free on all the systems I just sold. The best I can do is to do the work at no cost to the customer, but I have to charge for the new fans. The fans are not intended to be user replaceable, the assembly of this system is not simple, and it is rather time intensive, so the system will have to be returned to me to install the “new” fans. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the original fans, they work quite well, just flip through the last few pages of rave reviews. If you must have the improved version, I'm sorry but you'll have to get back on the waiting list for the new version or wait until I can exchange your existing fans in your housing for the new ones. That said, I still have a few fans left to install in the next batch I get back from paint, maybe 3-4 systems, the bad news is they are the old fans, the good news is they will be ready to ship before the new fans. It’s Funny how everyone loved the original system until they found out about a new fan. I don't plan on another fan "upgrade" at least in the raw performance arena, I'm not so sure there is any more room to improve cooling, but if I do make another fan change in the future, I will not be doing any exchanges or upgrades at any expense to me. I really am sorry folks but this is the way of the world, doesn’t matter what product you are talking about, there will always be improvements and upgrades. I could have mitigated some of this by charging more for the new fans, and then people would have been satisfied with the cheaper older version even though it is a little less powerful, but the fans are about the same cost to me so I chose not to raise the price of the system. If you feel that I’m out of line on this subject, I would be happy to entertain your suggestions.
IMHO thats going way above what I think you need to do Jason. There is hardly a quality product out there that does not see some improvement if they are manufactured long enough. You sold me precisely what I was told you would sell me and I couldn't be happier. Asking for an exchange is out of line and makes poor business sense. If someone wants the new fans that bad, let them go back on to a second generation waiting list and buy another unit. They can then feel free to PM me and I'll take their earlier version off their hands for a resonable price. Not a darn thing wrong with the earlier version that I can see. Does exactly what you said it would do, and its exactly what I agreed to buy. I feel pretty confident that I speak for the majority of the folks who purchased the earlier version? At least I hope I do?

Jason that was forseeable response. Good move IMO to make it early. I will not take advantage of any exchange however when your caught up and have stock I could be talked into the "new" set.

I bought my 06 RoadKing and the next year the MoCo put a 6 speed trans in them
I bought my current 08 RoadGlide and the next year the MoCo changed the frame
I just bought the fans, just opened the box matter of fact, and the "new and improved" verision is out..............

Iam VERY happy with the setup I purchased
And if I feel the need for more powerful fans, I'll contact Jason and see how much the upgrade will be. And then send my fans back for the upgrade

Ditto here I'm so happy with the improvement too the cooling on my Ultra since the fan installation and other mods.First gen works just fine.Still highly recommend this

I'm in the same neighborhood, rode with 16 bikes today and the HD guys were looking at the fans. Jason sent some business cards with mine, makes it easy to hand out the web site.

TXSailor had no trouble mounting on his Softail with Cpt Itch's cCrotch Cooler, and I just mounted one on a friends Dyna, just had to adjust the plug wires a bit.
I was in the 2nd batch, received my fan and love it, I passed out the business cards Jason sent, and have had several people ask me about the fans. I've ordered another fan that I will probably give to my friend as a gift, (I guess it may be a little better), Jason if you can spare a few more cards the next time, I would appreciate it, the first set went quick.
