I just got some feedback from a very happy customer who is not an HD Forum member. He has a Powervision tuner and 131" motor, he likes what he sees with the temp, I'll post it on my testimonials page. I know at least two members here have them mounted on 120"s, one is waiting for his powervision to come in so he can report on the performance of the system. Natuarally the trend is the bigger motors aren't showing as low temperature values as the smaller motors but they are still showing a considerable drop and far from entering the EITMS zone. Mine is a little 103 stage IV with 117hp/111tq. trouble is that even detuned a bit and decel fuel added and yet always over 240 when temps go above 90*... While at Sturgis, I spent less than 5 minutes in stop and go traffic one afternoon going from downtown to GlenCo and my bike had been parked for 2-3 hours prior so it gets hot fast!! When the temps are below 70* it runs fast and the oil temps are usually around 230* I wish it would run that way at all times!!!! Move to Alaska???? Or just maybe your fans will cool my bike? Ive seen a number of ideas that all seem promising, yours, Oil Bud, Fan Assisted, and the last two are oil coolers. Yours is a fan system that is cooling the heads and is measured via head temps ,or oil temps, or some other way? I have fairly high comperssion and it will ping in warm weather so if U have my solution then lets go!!!!!
Just getting my feet back on the ground from my 3rd trip to sturgis. Like to relay a great story. We rode out from Michigan, which is 2-600 mile days to Sturgis. First day went great and the fans, even in 94 deg. heat, kept my motor no hotter than 262 CHT. Got to about an hour from our hotel room and I felt something hit the back of my left calf. Looked down at my Power Vision mounted on my handlebars and immediately saw CHT rising. Looked down, and there was the rear fan, which had snapped off the arm support, laying on my primary. First safe place me and my buds pulled over. Couldn't believe it was still sitting there.
Well, I wasn't too happy. Temps in Sturgis were going to be hot, and I really needed the fans. Sent an email to Jason after taking a couple of pix saying I didn't really expect him to be able to rectify the situation until I got back. Hit the sack at the hotel after leaving Jason my phone and where I was staying (Hog Heaven). Jason wrote back, and said that he would overnight the fans, and that they would get there late Monday afternoon. I rode the first 2 days in Sturgis (Sunday/Monday) without fans and was basically in EITMS mode most of the time I wasn't moving. Sure enough, the fans arrived Monday night. I put them on (had all my tools with me). I had the old version fans, and Jason sent me the new ones, with a new harness and fuse. Come to find out I had blown the fuse on the harness, so Jason was on top of that as well. Rest of the trip the fans performed flawlessly, and they are highly effective at 75 mph, as well.
I got to say, not only do these fans really work, but Jason's service is second to none. He is a man of his word and stands behind his products 110%. Overnighting FedEx is not cheap, he could have sent it 2 day Priority, but he didn't. I can't speak highly enough of his product, or his service. Thanks Jason for everything.
