Are the Heritage style bars the tallest bars you can put on a 2012 Road King without replacing cables and brake lines?

Pretty much. You can also check into the Road King Reduced Reach bars and/or the Road King High bars. I have the Reduced Reach bars. Held them up to Heritage bars and virtually the same. I did not need new cables etc...

I have heard from a couple sources Wild1 8.5" bars fit with no mods, and Wild1 10" bars may or may not fit without having to replace the clutch/brake line. You'll probably have to reroute clutch cable and brake line in the nacelle.

I went 14" and changed everything.

we install a new 12" ape on my best friend RK without problem. For changing bar (this was our fourth one), we now extend wires which make the job more easy.

I put on my RK 2008 a Wild1inch 8,5" and i need only to externd the wiring cables (no brakes and no clutch).

I would like to swap to 10", what about the cables?
