Reckless Fairing
Wife and I purchased two fairings from Alex at Reckless Cycles. We got the plain Gel Coat unpainted and it looks just fine. Put a coat of Maguiars wax on it and put a coat of Plexis on the windshield. Perfect. Ours has no holes in the inner fairing as we don't need the radio and speakers. No extra sanding or fooling around save maybe an extra washer to shim out the bottom of the mounting hardware. Ran 'em for about 40 miles in the wind and they did exactly what a fairing is supposed to do. Very satisfied. You won't be disappointed. We also got the optional wind wing deflectors and man this unit is great. Alex is super to deal with. You will read some posts about how his stuff is junk or is stolen from Hoppe. Crap! I've had 4 HD baggers with OEM fairings and they were all junk compared to this one.

I bought a reckless fairing off of ebay for my heritage soft tail. Came in gel black, and My bike is black, so I mounted it as is for time being. Came without stereo and speakers. Purchased same Sony Ipod unit reckless offers for $79.00 on ebay, bought Rockford Fosgate 6x9 speakers off ebay for 35.00. All in all I have less than $500.00 in the whle thing. I had looked at fairings for over a year and finally decided on the reckless for price aline. I have had my bike sitting right next to my friends Electra and mine looks just as good. You can spend $500.00 or you can spend over $1000.00. I am completely satisfied with the quality. I would post pictures, but not sure how to do that on the forum. I got a lot more than I paid for. Right on Batone. I'm tellin' ya, I read posts from guys who had trouble with Alex at Reckless. Not me man...the whole experience was terrific. Put one on my Deluxe and one on my wife's Deluxe, both with the optional wind wing deflectors. Mr Wind is virtually non-existent compared to what it was before the install. Just left it Black Gel Coat with a coat of Maguiar's wax and it looks absolutely fine. Went with blank inner fairing(no holes, no radio, no speakers). Anyone who pays for Dragonfly, Woody's, Hoppe, Dead Center, and the rest of the after market stuff is paying for fluff and not function.

Well I ordered one at the begining of last week and was expecting it tomorrow or monday just based on there web site saying 7-10 days for and unpainted one. Well I shoot out an email to see its status and get back a reply that its taking them 15-20 business days. Bummer!
