Im 5-10' 29" inseam and I used a Screamin Eagle Road King seat , I was able to have both feet on the ground fine.. Its a thought, hard to find but nice seat and has a nice flame design on it from HD...... you might do a search on EBAY or similar sites for one.....
So if you some of you read my first post a week ago you know Im new here, Ive looked thru the forums but haven't found the answer Im looking for.
Im 35 an just bought my first road king Im 5'9 and wear 30' length jeans. When I sit on the bike in loose pants I can just be flat footed on the floor but in my reg jeans which are a little tighter I can barely reach, Im sure its the inseam of the jeans etc..
The RKC is a 2005 - what aftermarket seat can I buy to get a few more inches to always get my feet flat footed on the bike?
From looking thru posts I think the answer is a mustang solo but b4 I spend 3-600 on a solo an pillon Id like to hear from you guys who have a similar problem.

I've got the short leg problem also and I put a Mustang seat in as well and as comfortable as the seat is, it's going to add to the problem. The stock seat allows more reach because its rounded towards the front whereas the Mustang is more square towards the front similar to a comfortable chair.
The problem with that is when you've got your feet down it keeps your reach limited. There are many options and the seat rework idea is a good one, but since I was already down the new seat road I just lowered my rear by an inch with a kit from Road6 and it gave me back the height I lost with the seat which is a win.
My suggestion is have your seat worked my MC (MeanCity) then if you still need more reach, lower the back with a good kit. A search will give you many options there.
Second the motion for Mean City. Their service is fantastic, it costs less and you get a custom fitted seat instead of just another out of the box thing. They reshape the seat pan for your size and replace all the ineards with hospital grade memory foam. I did my RKC seat with them so you retain the same seat style. Before 200 miles was a pain in the butt and now I can do 500 miles. I am 5'8 with a 29 inch inseam and was just a skosh from flat footing so I had them drop the seat 3/4" which was perfect.

The stock seat on my 2010 RK was the first thing to go. I researched everything I could find on this forum and ended up with a Mustang Solo. Best money I've spent. It lowered me an inch or so, and I can flat foot just fine, but I'm a little taller than you with a 32" inseam.
I think you're going in the right direction by looking at seat first, but after you find something you really like, you're probably gong to find that the stock handlebars are next.
I had my sondowner done by mean city with the memory foam. And I'll tell you what "the cat's ***" They'll reshape anyway you want, just tell them what you need to have done.
I have a corbin close solo for sale.
100.00 shipped.
Nice shape email me for some pictures.

Good price on a Corbin Close.... I lowered the front and rear 1" and have Corbin Close seats; 1 solo and 1 two-up touring. The Corbin is a really comfortable saddle for long hauls and the OL finds it comfortable as well....(the seat). The close seat moves you up about 1.5" and has a narrower nose so your legs point more down at the ground.
