If it sounds like a fair deal to you, jump on it .... you can be sure of one thing though ... as soon as you buy it someone is going to tell you they could have gotten you a better price .... remember, the mark of a good deal is " Value recieved for money spent" ... I love my Ultra !
What color? Does it have the security package? You do the math, base price is $21k for black. ABS and security adds $1,200. I would say anything over $1k off MSRP is decent.
Dealer has 1 leftover 2011. They are asking $19,499.00 is this fair, can I do better?
What does this bike have? ABS? Security?
If it doesn't, it's priced $1,500 below MSRP which is not a good deal for a leftover.
Is this an OTD price or will they add freight and prep?
1. Do you really like the color, or just saying "I can live with that". It'll haunt you if you don't really like it.
2. You realize of course it has a 96" engine as opposed to the 103". Can you live with that? I only asked because it's a question I had to ask myself when I bought my Silver leftover 2011 EGC.
3. Price sounds fair if it's got ABS and security, if not, that price is too high.
4. Unless you're in love with this motorcycle, be ready to walk.
5. I would not buy with price as the primary factor (of course money is always a concern). You gotta love it because it'll be with you for quite a while - kinda like a horse, only made of steel.
6. Have you considered a used 2010 Limited? A whole lotta bike with a 103" engine.
Just for fun give Space Coast Harley a call in Florida.
The last time I was in they seemed eager to make a deal.
They have advertised a:
2011 FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide :Stock number 8443
Vivid Black, 10 miles on it
Request a quote at Sales 321-259-1311
This may at least give you an idea of how good your price is.
Good Luck
I saw that bike this past Sunday when I was at Space Coast HD. They had a "today only" sale tag on it for $18,499. I don't believe it had the ABS/security package but I can't swear to that.
Didn't buy that Ultra but I did end up buying a 2012 in ember red sunglo with the ABS/security package and they made me a helluva deal
