It looks great! What kit did you use for your aftermarket head unit install?
Thanks!
I used the Hawg Wired Kit. Their anodized aluminum faceplate is top quality. Also, since the aftermarket stereos are smaller, they have a cradle that mounts into place to hold it.
Pricey, but what isn't with these bikes? I've seen the Biketronics one in person, and I wasn't impressed with the quality. Just looked like a piece of plastic filling the gap. Just one man's opinion though...
I'm sure I'll catch flak on this but, I would just buy the painted fairing from Harley if I had to do it over again. For what amounts to a small savings after selling the original it really isn't worth it to have somebody else paint it. I ended up having mine done twice at two different places and after the second time it looks pretty good but there still a couple of spots that aren't perfect. It really is a tough piece to paint with all the contours and nooks and crannies. Just sayin.
MOCO doesn't sell my color on the inners. My only option was to have it color matched. I figure since one of HD's painters is close by, I'd use them.
They did good work. I just posted pics in another thread to keep from junking this one up!
I also have a 2012 SG , big blue pearl, awesome color....did you buy HD paint? Did the painter do a good job? The paint has so much flake in it I'm worried that a painter won't be able to match it correctly....
Also, what bars did you go with? I have a set of WO 575 ready to install...
If you look,I had it painted gloss black. My dealer has a local body shop that does his paint work.He was worried about matching since there is so much pearl in the color.HD sells color matched inners but they are like $600.I had mine painted for $300.I really like it and they did a very nice job.My bars are Harley Tallboys.
