I recently purchased a 2012 Street Glide. My previous bike was an 07 RKC. I had Wild1 Chubby 14" apes on it. They were the perfect height for me. I"m 6-3 almost 6-4 with about a 38" arm length. Here is my questions.
I'm looking for the same height as on my RKC. When i sat straight up, the grips were about shoulder height. i know the SG sits a little lower.
I was originally wanted to go with the WO576 14" thinking it would be about the same, but after looking at some pictures I'm not so sure. I wish someone around me had one of these bars on their bike so I could get a feel for it. I don't care that the grips are above the fairing, I'm looking for comfort. I don't want my hands too far above my shoulders, but I don't want them too low either. This is tough without being able to test them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Got the 577s on my SG. They are rotated as far forward as possible. I'm 6' and my hands are just slightly below shoulder level which is perfect for me. Pics might give you an idea how far above the fairing the grips are
Murph, you live in FL. Aren't they still doing Bike Nights and such? Surely you'd be able to find these bars on someones bike.
There some around. However, I don't go to them very often. Good idea though, thanks.

Thanks man. I want to come, but I don't think I will be able to.. Work and kids. They will still be in school and I have no one to help with them. It looks like a really nice area to ride. I know I will regret it if I don't go. We will have to see when time gets closer.

That's what I'm talking about. I would rather have them slightly higher than lower. I just don't want my hands going numb. I wish I could sit on your bike. It would make this a lot easier.
On a side note, I notice you are from WV.. You know Pocahantos, WV. My Mom's side of the family is from there. My Grandfather was a moonshiner. I was told he made the best shine around. I never got to know him. He died of black lung... Anyways, just wanted to ask.
