Got a set of trim rings from Santa, and I can't seem to get the headlight ring to seat. I checked and double checked the part number, and its the right one. could I have got the wrong part in the right package?
Many have had this problem and many have not. I had about a 1/8" gap when installing mine over the original trim ring. I did away with the original and followed the advice given in this thread;
Mines got the small gap, but its nice and tight over the original, and the 1/8 gap really dosent concern me, not too crazy over details like that. Dads closed right up, just minor differences in parts id say.
So, II am confused abouth the problems that most are running into. Is the bottom where it clamps together That has has a gap, or is it like mine, as you can see from my pics, my gap is around the headlight. As marked in the attached photo.
Is this the normal place most are having issues with? I guess there is no fix, so I have to decide if I can live with it, or return it.
