Default Handlebar controls wiring??

Putting bars on....got controls off, made a wiring diagram. Now to remove the connectors from the wiring harness...I read to use a small paper clip, insert it in the connector end and push in while pulling the wire out the other side...is this correct?? I am not having any luck...tried all the wires, not a single one will budge.

Help!!!

Go to the Wild 1 site and look for a how to on the bars and wiring. On the big connectors in the fairing, take a narrow needle nose plier and pull out 1/4"+- the inner part then insert pin to release the wire. Check out the site and it will be clear. Also check the service manual, it also shows it. The smaller connectors, TBW, heated grips, release different, service manual shows.

I use a small pick that has a needle sharp point. I works a lot better for sliding down in the hole and releasing the clip...also easy to manage than a paper clip. It takes a little patience to figure out the first time.
