has any one installed Chubbys 575 for EG? I am concern that they will push the controls above the faring

They do place your hands higher than stock but still well protected by the fairing - excellent upgrade

I used all the stock cables when I did mine without any problems

If you plan on getting a set in the future I suggest you talk to Johnny Vaughn at www.hdbikeparts.com ( sales@hdbikeparts.com )
Johnny sells Wild 1s and braided cable sets and will fill you in on the lengths you'll need, even if you want to stay with the stock cables. He's installed a pile of 'em.
I have some 513s and cables on the way from him right now.

All the stock cables work. But, you need to reroute the clutch cable outside the fairing
