Default Exhaust question......

I know this may have been covered in the past, but does anyone have any insight as to what pipes sound bigger, better, and LOUDER than the Screamin' Eagles I currently have on my SG? Performance is obviously important, but the SE's seem a bit tame to me....has anyone else noticed this as well?

bountyhunter....how much further did you slam your SG? It looks like it has been pushed down quite a bit more. Does it still handle well? Will my wife's *** feel like she has been pouncing on a bag of rocks (easy now) when we ride 2-up if I lower it more?

That's at max slam...shocks at 9 1/2 inches. Handling is good, so is the ride...on smooth roads!

Stock HD Profiles are 12"...put a 1" drop in the front when I did the fender and black sliders.

My Thunderheaders are awesome - very loud and freeflowing with incredible performance.
They get plenty of frowns from the disapprovers. They also get the attention of the
law and I am considering changing them before I have to start paying some hefty
fines. I've driven past people standing beside the road and they tell me the pipes
are some of the loudest pipes they have heard. They are great if you're looking for sound
and performance in pipes.

I'm ready to look for pipes that do not get that kind of attention. Hopeully pipes that will
not decrease the performance - yeah I'm a dreamer.
