Chirping noise
Where is the dent exactly? Is it possibly from the rear axle hitting the muffler on suspension rebound? The stock mufflers have a huge depression in them just for that reason but most aftermarket mufflers do not. Although the right side is the one to usually hit first because the nut on the axle sticks out a little farther than the welded end.

Imagine the back outer surface facing you in the picture above had been pushed in a little. Now instead of it being the right side - imagine the left. This isn't a clearance issue. Something wacked the end of the muffler from the side.
I'm familiar with the mufflers, I just put the same ones on my bike a week or two ago.
I'm still trying to picture the location of the dent. But it's not the clearance issue - different location. I have no clue as to the cause.

There are no clues - wish there were. Dent is just above the letters "l" and "t" in the posted picture.
It's as though something fell against the bike but only hit the muffler. How are you liking them? I switched from a more open design (but too loud) and probably lost ~4 hp.

My chirps were coming from the rubber hanger mounts also. My fix - I cut a small piece of rubber off of a bicycle tire tube and stuffed it with a screwdriver between the rubber and metal. Takes 3 minutes, cost is zero, and problem solved.
I had a chirp didn't start until it got hot. After it got hot the chirp would start every time i stopped. If i stood up the chirp would go away tried the muffler bracket isolators still didn't fix it tighten the exhaust still nothing. Finally found out that my swing arm was loose, so loose that when we were tightening it up thought it was stripped.

I dont mean to hijack the OP thread, but am wondering if the OP's chirping noise is like mine.
My bike makes a chirping noise comming out of the exhaust,,,(1) only when accelerating (2) only when on a concrete surface & when riding beside a concrete barrier, such as a interstate hwy.
I have heard others with Rinehart slip ons complain about this, have yet to read about a fix for it. It sounds like a VW beetle when ridding with those conditions. Others riding beside me or behind me say they cant hear it, I know I do!! Anybody else hear this with there ride? Anybody know of a fix?
