I'd let the dealer deal with it. Wasnt there a service bulletin on this?

What exactly was the work done to resolve the leak? Was all the work covered by the xt warranty?

What a coincidence! Just noticed / searched / cleaned / found the same leak on my '10 Ultra (has the same plug as the OP).
Been researching possible resolutions. My indie told me they had never solved this problem for any length of time without replacing the stator (we ran through the same 3 options in the OP).

I decided that over the next 2 days I was going to find the best silicone sealer that seemed most applicable to the task:
1- high heat; 2- oil / lube resistent; 3- bond rubber to metal; and go for it.

Oh, 37k miles and never a drip, drop, or leak until the last week.... not happy at the moment...

Stator was replaced, it is all one unit...wires & plug. Silicone should last until just after your warranty runs out lol.

Im trying to understand how putting RTV between the engine mount flange and the plug will stop it from leaking?
