now that being said you need to be smart about the whole HID thing.
you dont need 55 watt for driving on the street 35 watt is plenty.
proper adjustment is key so as not to blind on coming traffic, you cant just put them in & not adjust them.
do you plan on running the stock light housing that came with the bike?
do you want to keep the high beam feature?
stuff to think about.

im running the upgraded HARLEY-DAVIDSON dual element housing on my SG & im running a 35w 6K for the low beam & the 55w 6K for the high beam. all plug & play. had it on the bike for about 3000 to 4000 miles now & works perfect.
i dont have any pics of the upgradded headlight housing but you can find it in the catalog.
i get all my HIDs from DDM TUNING.
if you dont want that very slight blueish tint in your light then dont go with the 6K. i have the 5K in one of my trucks & even those have a very very slight blue to them. if i was to do it over (& the next time i place an order i will) i will put the 5K in the bike.

hope this helps, & feel free to ask me more specific questions if you have any.

Dave.
are these items plug and play, i looked over DDM's website, but i didnt see any reference to installation ( wether its plug and play)..

im picking up my Street Glide in 3 weeks, and this is one MOD i wish to do immediately. so im just curious.

Can't wait. Just checked the tracking and it is saying my HID kit is out for delivery. Mail usually runs within the next half hour or so. Can't wait till they get here. Good and fast shipping too. Just ordered them Monday morning.

Well got the HID kit and installed it. Only took about half hour or so. Looks so much better can't wait till dark to really see the difference. Good quality and slim ballast and everything. Very happy with it so far.

I take it on a sg you dont have to pull the fairing. Does the headlight ring and bucket come out w/o removing the fairing? Just curious how/where you mounted the ballast and ground wires. My kid has a SG, I already know on my RG the fairing has to come off.

Maybe Dave could answer this one.

no worries....all plug & play as long as you run the 35 watt ballasts.
hardest part is picking your color...5K, 6K & so on.
like iv said before im running the 35W 6K in my SG but when i place another order with them ill change it to the 5K. i have the 5K in my superduty & like that color better.

dont hesitate to get them even if you get them from somewhere other than DDM TUNING. HIDs are great.

good luck with your order, install & your new bike

yep all you have to do is take out the headlight assembly & you will be able to get to everything. as far as mounting the ballasts i was suppose to go back in & mount them but i havent done that yet. iv got more stuff im doing inside the wing so ill secure them at that time. but you should secure them.

One concern I have is do the ballasts get hot? I was thinking of mounting them on the sides of the frame neck between the tank and fairing brackets, if they dont get hot I may just find somewhere inside the fairing to secure them.

Just ordered mine in the 4500 flavor. Ive got 5000's in my RZR and there still a hair blue. Not the ricey blue but just a tint. 4500's should be perfect. $25 for the HID's and $19.95 to ship......seriously?
