Is is absoluely manditory that we chage the transmission end gasket? We're putting a D&D Fatcat on buddies bike, and we don't have the gasket. It'll hold us up a couple of days if we have to order one.......
before you start, roll the bikes tires up on a 2x4, so that when on the side stand, the angle is much increased- that'll keep all the lube in the tranny
make sure the bike is stable on the stand!
if you are unsure about the seal, lightly coat it with silicone, let dry then re-use.
note that the torque spec for those bolts has been increased to ( I think) 23 ft lbs - too lazy to go the the garage and check)
