I have decided to purchase the Extended Warranty for my 2010 StreetGlide. The Factory Warranty expires in February 2012. Who has a Dealer with the best, lowest price for a 3 year contract? Will be keeping this bike for the long haul and its bone stock (will remain so). Answer here or PM me with details.
4.) the policy is with a 3rd party- not H-D or the dealer
5.) many of these companies go out of business, having only collected your money
6.) common modifications may void warranty coverage ( like a stage 1 mod)- read the contract carefully- which in most cases is not available for review online- you only get to see it when you are sitting in the office.
7.) who chooses the repair facility and parts used for repair- are you covered if on a trip away from home?
4.) the policy is with a 3rd party- not H-D or the dealer TRUE

Coverage thru HD via CNA is good at ANY HD Dealer in the country
and includes Roadside Assistance, Towing, Bike rental; and overnite accomodations subject to reasonable limits

Not promoting this or encouraging anyone to purchase Extended Coverage, just sharing what I learn.....it IS a cloudy subject and I am sure a moneymaker for some (most?) dealers.
Space Coast sold me my extended warranty. I got 5 years for 1399 including tire and wheel. I asked about how other dealers are cheaper and was informed they use 3rd party warranty... but Space Coast uses HD extended warranties.
From Legacy HD I got the 7 year with tire and wheel for 1525. Might call and talk with them about a 5 year price. Or get the 7 and will at least get some of that back if ya sell it early or use the last 2 years as a selling point.
Jim Palmer @ Kutter HD. $1,485 / 7 Year / with Tire and Wheel.
Purchased in March 2011. So far have used it for inner primary bearing , stereo controls, rear fender tip light and seat. My local dealer, Sound HD, has no issues with any mods, never asks any questions about my services and doesn't care where I bought the ESP.
