I went with the power duals and monster ovals. I like the sound and so does others who have heard the set-up.

I got the Big Louie with 1.75" baffle and gutted headpipe. I was surprised when I heard them. Nice low rumble when you roll the throttle and mellow at cruise. Radio Friendly and Wife approved.

supertrapp 2-1 on my ultra,best power for a "quiet setup"open end cap,closed end cap,lots of disc or very few,u can get whatever sound u want,if any one says too loud ,they didn't read the instructions on what the discs do.

the harley nightsticks use a quieter baffle than the supertrapp(but they have epa stamp)so u will not get as loud with the nightstick.

Did you ever consider the Dragula 2-1 exhaust. The pipe is made by Rush for Frank@DragosBikeWorks.It closely resembles the BigLouie.It sounds and performs awesome .I think it's around 650.00, has interchangable tips .I have this pipe on my bike. There is absolutely zero heat issues.It even comes with a performance money back guarentee.The pipe comes in chrome or black or alittle of both.

As far as I can tell the nightstick and supermeg baffles are similar in sound level.
I have a/b'd on my own bike.

The nightsticks are EPA compliant on 2010 and up bikes which have cats.
Which is why on my 09 I use a closed end cap for noise control
