The overall vision is a street glide style. The better half already said she won't ride except on Friday nights down to the local 2 wheeler drinking establishment, so a tour pack is currently not in the plans, although if I can find one on fleabay cheap maybe.

The major color will be Synergy Green which you've seen on the 2011 Camaro. I compared HD's Kryptonite, Dodge Snakeskin, and Synergy. Both the Kryptonite and Snakeskin were about $250 a quart vs. $117 a quart for the Synergy. PPG Delton base coat, covered by PPG Concept 2021 clear.

So far I found a set of chrome fork lowers, and I'm going to polish the rotors. I'm not sure about the calipers whether to restore them black, polish, or send them out for chrome. Any knowledge out there on how to protect the bores and passage ways when they are chrome plated?

This is the look I'm going for on the front end, I really like the painted cow bells and upper tin.

All I can say is, I wish I had the room to do a project like that.

I've been a railroader for 33 years. Back in 81 when I was laid off I learned the bodywork business from a friend to keep me busy. Now I live on 20 acres and have a 30X50 shop with a paint booth. I've been playing with Dodge Challengers and Darts for along time. I've got a 73 Challenger on a rotisserie in the booth right now. It needs major work so I'm taking a break to do the bagger so I have something to ride this spring.

That sounds like a fun way to be retired. Enjoy yourself.

I took the forks apart, gave them a good cleaning, installed new fork seals in my eBay chrome lowers. Then spent Sunday doing a little body & spray paint work. 1 coat of PPG DP90 epoxy primer over the scuffed cowbells and fork tin, wait 60 minutes, then two coats of PPG Deltron Synergy color, followed by 3 coats of PPG concept 2021 clear. Let her dry over night then did a little re-assembly work.

Next weekend I'll start smoothing the front fender and doing a Native Custom Baggers dropped fender kit.

I need some suggestions for a cheap exhaust solution. Thinking of re-baffleing the stock pipes. I'd like to do tru duals and Rineharts but that's an extra $1000.00 that won't fit into this winters budget. Maybe next winter.

Also ideas for air cleaner/intake system.

Remember "Cheapskate".
