Project "Cheapskate"
Now I'm going to start on the latch covers (I'll post pictures later). Install rear wheel bearings, drive pulley, rear brake rotor, new brake pads. Install rear fender, Install S/G turn signals, Install rear wheel, adjust drive belt and align rear wheel. Install left slip on.
Hopefully time to flash the PCIII and give it a test fire. More to follow....
Here's a bump to the top for quicker access when you get "our" pictures ready.... Tick tick tick.

I made an alignment tool and everything is straight as an arrow which is a good thing, cuz I'm not sure how you'd change the alignment if it was not straight.

I used a piece of 3/32 piano wire and bent two 90 degree angles, then I used 3 small "O" rings to hold them together. Slide one end into the swing arm pivot and the other into the axle hole. I works very well for $2.99.
Here are the bag latch covers. Pretty rashed. I used a 3M roloc to knock burnish the chrome so some filler will adhere. I'll smooth them out and get them painted black to match.

I ran out of time and did not get them bondo'd today, and did not get cheapskate fired up, but I think I'll make my May 1st projection for the first test ride.
Oh yeah I do need a different stoplight lens, mine is still setup for a license plate above and I need one that does not have a clear lens in it, but I figure on buying one from the dealer.
