I took the forks apart, gave them a good cleaning, installed new fork seals in my eBay chrome lowers. Then spent Sunday doing a little body & spray paint work. 1 coat of PPG DP90 epoxy primer over the scuffed cowbells and fork tin, wait 60 minutes, then two coats of PPG Deltron Synergy color, followed by 3 coats of PPG concept 2021 clear. Let her dry over night then did a little re-assembly work.
Next weekend I'll start smoothing the front fender and doing a Native Custom Baggers dropped fender kit.
I need some suggestions for a cheap exhaust solution. Thinking of re-baffleing the stock pipes. I'd like to do tru duals and Rineharts but that's an extra $1000.00 that won't fit into this winters budget. Maybe next winter.
Also ideas for air cleaner/intake system.
Remember "Cheapskate".
Get yourself a Fulsac TD kit and some wild pig slip-ons. I had the fulsac kit and it worked great. I can help with the wild pigs. I live 5 miles from the factory and get a pretty good deal.

My RKC was a salvage bike (stuffed front end), like an earlier post. I bought new tubes, but ebay for most everything else (lowers, trees, fender/paint, rotor, bells, bars). Total repairs were shy of $700. Proud to be a Cheap-A$$ Scotsman.
I'll give a second to FullSac true duals. I got mine on Ebay (from FullSac) for a little over $150. Seems like a lot for an elbow and a short pipe with some other small parts, but the quality, fitting and ceramic coating of the pipes are unbelievable. I am real glad I bought it.
Sweet! Another Nebraskan. Getting to be a few of us on here. Nice shop BTW...I wouldnt want to heat it but id like to have the room. My 3 car garage is getting cramped.
Slyder thanks, the shop stays above freezing without heat unless we don't get above 20 for a few day's. I just heat it up on weekends. I can usually get by on about $60 worth of propane a month when it's cold. So that's less than $20 a weekend for a place to hide out and smoke stogies while twisting wrenches....
Fatpig, I agree. Just could not see spending 35k on a CVO street glide. Awesome bike but not in my blue collar budget.
Coolerman69, I think that's the way I'm leaning, the Fulsac TD's and then either the Wild Pigs E straight cuts, sounds like a better deal than cutting the stock pipes and doing the Fulsac baffles. I'll PM when the time gets near for more info.
I know you said you like tru duals but... Dragos has some awsome pipes he also has a ghost pipe to go with it. I think his pipe runs bout $600 ceramic lined inside and out. just an option
