I took the forks apart, gave them a good cleaning, installed new fork seals in my eBay chrome lowers. Then spent Sunday doing a little body & spray paint work. 1 coat of PPG DP90 epoxy primer over the scuffed cowbells and fork tin, wait 60 minutes, then two coats of PPG Deltron Synergy color, followed by 3 coats of PPG concept 2021 clear. Let her dry over night then did a little re-assembly work.
Next weekend I'll start smoothing the front fender and doing a Native Custom Baggers dropped fender kit.
I need some suggestions for a cheap exhaust solution. Thinking of re-baffleing the stock pipes. I'd like to do tru duals and Rineharts but that's an extra $1000.00 that won't fit into this winters budget. Maybe next winter.
Also ideas for air cleaner/intake system.
Remember "Cheapskate".
well get the Mig out and make your "y" pipe into a single for the left side, and fab up a right side extention, walaa home made duals, then take out your baffles and shorten for a louder sound, Or buy so used SE slip on take off's. Fullsac makes a conversion for the y pipe, and some one sells a chrome heat shield to clean it up. Or look for a true dual used set for sale.

Holy Winter Projects Batman!! Sorry, I couldn't resist, SOMEONE had to chime in with it sooner or later...haha
Subscribed as well, been following, I'm planning on painting mine next winter and I'm down to something similar to your color, or maybe something along the lines of the Tequila Sunrise, I haven't decided.
Anyway, yours is awesome my friend, love all the little money saving tips here and there, and Slyder was dead-on with painting those controls, if the green alone doesn't set this bad boy off, that will certainly help.
....... i think this is the 1st 14 page thread i've read all the way thru ..... and loved every page !
............. great looking project, Batman. Serious skills in evidence ............. & cheap too, what a bonus.
.....as is everyone else, i'm lookin' forward to seeing it complete !
