Project "Cheapskate"

Spent about an hour on each wheel with a nasty wire wheel spray, brush, and water. They look pretty good now.

Except for being early 07 profile wheels, which now I have found out have chrome flaking issues, they're going to have to do for a while.
Also tried a technique I read about on this site to try and remove the wheel bearings, I welded a washer to the inner race and then used a 10" piece of pipe to drive out the bearings.

The bolt was used to attach the ground clamp while I mig welded the washer in place, then removed

Results? Not so good, I tried twice and both times the welds broke taking part of the inner bearing race with them.
I'm going to pickup an expanding anchor bolt and try it later this week. If that fails I'll either use an Indy to have them pulled for me, or or purchase the Posse wheel bearing remover. Just trying to be a cheapskate.....

Also stripped down the inner and outer fairings, there's some road rash on them also. I'm waiting for a can of ABS cement to arrive and I'll try a technique I read about using the cement like body filler to repair the fairings, as well as using a soldering iron and the ABS cement to repair a bag lid.
