Here I am 12" of snow, can't get out. It would be a perfect day to fire up a Perdomo and work on "Cheapskate" alas power is out so no lights and no heat in the shop. I have generator for the house so we have power for the well, lights, fridge, microwave, bit the wife might get mad if I disconnected her for the shop......

Well after 16 hours we finally got power back around 23:00 last night. So this morning while waiting for friends with big plows to dig me out I warmed up the shop. Oh by the way my driveway is under those 3 foot drifts, and my old 1/2 ton chevy blade truck is stuck at the end of the 850' long driveway.......
After the snow got moved I had time to put the controls back together. Not too shabby Slyder, thanks for the idea..
Also was able to work on the inner fairing some more, hope to turn it green next weekend. Should have the new wheel bearings by then also. I've decided to leave the front brake calipers black, but need either Chrome bolts or the Chrome caps.

Really not hard to learn, but you can't do it with Harbor Freight spray guns. I use a Finnex mini gun($125) for the small stuff and a Sata RP3000($450)for the big.
I learned in high school messing around on an old 1947 pontiac. To me the hard part is dealing with our humidity in the summer. Its just a matter of following the directions from the manufacturers. I hear its going to be harder for us DIYers to buy paint in the near future. EPA is making you have a license to buy paint. Local wrench jumped the gun and took the test for his permit and as soon as the EPA found out he had a permit they came to his shop and inspected his paint booth. Then they called his insurance company and told them he didnt have an explosion proof booth. His insurance cancelled him.
Batman- im really diggin project "cheapskate" like its been mentioned before you are one talented man. Im hooked keep the updates coming bro!!! Without it being said I love the color, i went to a bike show a couple of weeks ago in Evansville,IN and seen a bagger in that color with bright yellow flames and skulls airbrushed in and it took home best of show!!! Nice work!!!!
Yellow flames and skulls, sounds nice. I've never learned to air brush. I would like to learn how to paint flames however. I've done flames with templates but to be able to freehand lay out flames would be awesome.
Stopped by the dealer today and found he had some chrome brake rotor shoulder bolts in stock so I picked them up and headed home. Installed the new All ***** in the front wheel, put some blue 243 loctite on the new shoulder bolts, torqued em up and slipped the front wheel back on for some pictures.
Here's a close up of the front rotors that got my first attempt at stainless steel polishing.
That will work for a first attempt. Next up will be getting the inner fairing repairs finished and then into color. Also will be working on the front fender, not sure if I can repair it, or if I'll need to spring for a new lowered fender. I see them on eBay or from the A.I.Choppers for about $110 shipped. Let's see bang it out, fill it, drill out the original mounts, order a set of lowering brackets for $65 from Native....
or $110 from A.I.Choppers already done.
I'll bet A.I.Choppers gets the nod.
