Default Fuel tank swap

Can I put a 2007 6 gallon Street Glide tank on my 06 Electra Glide??

If so will my 06 pump and sending unit work??

6 gallon tanks came out in 2008 if i am not mistaken?

the 6 gallon tank is narrowed underneath where the 2006 has the ignition coil.

I think you'd be looking at having to try to relocate the ignition ( it is now under the seat)

One can not put an 08 gas tank on a 07 or older
bike with out some cutting and welding. This has been
discussed a lot since the six gallon tanks came out in 08.
I think I may have even ask it myself a few years back.

He's not looking to do that, he's looking to put an 07 on an 06
